What does ‘The Talented 10th’ stand for?
The Talented 10th is an idea adopted from W E B Dubois, about a leadership class in the African American race. We have adopted and adapted the theory to include the diaspora. Our “Talented 10th” is designated to highlight the achievements of the entire black diaspora, to create a higher self esteem for the future generations. We accept our children must believe to achieve, and we want to give them every story available, so they’ll believe in their own greatness.
