Our Mission

Our mission at The Talented 10th is to create an inclusive environment for our children. We understand to grow strong and healthy one has to be firmly rooted. History not only gives a sense of pride, but also an understanding of culture. We are doing our best to fulfill the need of understanding Pan African history, because understanding black history will make for a better future.

Donations to our non-profit, allows our program to continuously grow in our approach to encourage schools to teach Pan African history. $1 from every book purchased goes into our scholarship fund which contributes financial awards to two individuals for college purposes. Donations also allow for us to donate books to less affluent schools, families and scholars. Our goal is to be included in the curriculums and libraries for children across the world. During our events any group size rather it be a classroom or assembly, but due to Covid-19 protocol events have been reduced in size. During our events we introduce figures from The Talented 10th book series to students. As we introduce figures we engage the scholars by playing a game in a jeopardy style of questions, scholars receive prizes for correct answers. Children today suffer from being misunderstood, which causes them to disengage.  Our program teaches from a personal point of view, engaging the scholar with stories of adversity and triumph. Our program helps with comprehension, test taking, and reading.
